These are common opposites here are a few ideas:
Have a look at what you have around your home and create your own obstacle course. Maybe include something to balance on, some type of stepping stones and something to go through.
This is a fun activity for all the family, cut out feet shapes from card or craft foam and place them on the ground in different directions and different distances apart. You can all then follow the trail moving in different directions etc.
This is a great way of looking for colours when you are out for a walk. Print out the frame, cut out the centre and then use it to look through to match to the colours you can see. Or make your own with paper and coloures pens or crayons. Click here for the printable frame.
Here are some some parachute games. You don’t need a parachute – a sheet works just as well.
Watch our videoUse chalk to lay out a series of physical challenges appropriate to the needs of your child. This can be done in your garden or in the park
Here are some photos of things you might find outside in the summer.
How many can you find on your next walk?
Fill balloons with water and tie them up – you don’t need them very full - they are great to throw and catch!
You can throw them to one another to catch, throw them towards a target (e.g. into a bowl, bucket or laundry basket), through a hoop, or try to catch them in a towel held between 2 people.
Why don’t you make your own carnival parade foot prints using bubble wrap. Of course listening to carnival music at the same time is optional!
You will need: Bubble wrap, cellotape, paint and a paint tray, paper, maybe some newspaper to protect your floor!
This is a painting exercise for those who don't like getting messy. You could use hands instead of feet, or both!
